Accountability
You’ve made the selfless choice to donate — here’s how we’re respecting that choice.
Stewardship Through Gulf Coast CC
From the very beginning of our fundraising planning, Robyn and I knew that we would owe a responsibility to our donors to keep the funds where they needed to be — directly contributing to the legal costs of the adoption.
Because of this, we have partnered with our home church, Gulf Coast Christian Church. They have created an earmarked fund specifically for our donation drive, the Patchwork Promise. We will have no direct access to the money held by the fund, and we will never see a cent of donations contributed through their portal, as all financial transactions between us and the adoption agency will be brokered by the church administration.
Gulf Coast Christian Church is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and all donations made to the Patchwork Promise can be claimed as a tax deduction. Additionally, Gulf Coast Christian Church is completely debt-free and is receiving no compensation (financial or otherwise) for hosting the funds obtained through this donation drive. Funds earmarked for the Patchwork Promise will not be used for any other funds within or outside of the church.

Gulf Coast Christian Church
Robyn and I first began attending Gulf Coast Christian Church in January of 2025, shortly after moving to Pensacola, Florida. We immediately fell in love with the staff and the congregation for their openness and Christ-centered call to ministry and fellowship.
We both immediately sought involvement within the church; Robyn began to volunteer with the children’s ministry on Sunday mornings and I began to play with the worship team. We have been serving faithfully in both of theses roles ever since.
Through many Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and impromptu gatherings for any and all occasions, we have come to learn the stories and struggles of the congregation, and we’ve fallen in love with every single one of them. Although our remaining time with the congregation is drawing to a close, we will be forever grateful for the laughter we’ve shared and the tears we’ve shed.
Scott, Andy, Shannon, Alysa, Tyler, Josh, Bill, Ron, Alan, Liz, Scott, Carey, Matt, Rachel, Paul, Cindy, David, Tony, Jack, Ken, and to all of the other family that we’ve made here — we love you all more than you could ever imagine. Thank you for walking with us through this journey.
